Expansive and agile by nature, I’ve lived many lives in one: business leader, entrepreneur, investor, speaker and songwriter.

Born in the UK, I’ve lived around the world, and now California is home. I’ve made bold choices, taken globe-trotting leaps and, through every detour and wild road, trusted my intuition. There’s a throughline of creativity, soulful expression and my two favorite accomplices: Burgundy and Barolo.

I’ve built brands, businesses and routes to market in the premium and luxury sector, primarily in wine, drinks and experiences. I’ve pioneered wine concepts and taken a startup wine estate to the Wine Spectator Top 100. Today, I provide strategic leadership as Principal, Strategy at Activequity and to other business clients on an advisory, retained or project basis. I advise private clients on wine and also trade and invest in wine, precious metals, energy and AI.

As a speaker, I’ve created wine-inspired themes to reveal vivid new perspectives on leadership and life. In my signature Leadership Wine Experience, each theme culminates in tasting a wine chosen to embody it, making the message unforgettable. It’s ideal for executive teams, leadership retreats and alumni wine clubs.

In recent years, the stories of my life have spilled into my lyrics, and I’m an award-winning songwriter, named in the Great American Song Contest Hall of Fame for my song Switchback.
